Missions
"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a
witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." -Matt 24:14
"And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."-Mark 16:15
Some people actually take these scriptures literally. There are really 3 types of Christians.
1. Those who go into "all the World"
2. Those who send the willing into "all the World"
3. Those who do neither
This next week [4/24-4/27] we will have Rev. Mr & Mrs Behrman at Covenant Faith for 2 meetings a day [10am, 7pm]. They are missionairies to Nepal. They are gonna be a blessing to us! Thank God for those who are willing.

Distractions
"And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a
snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction." 1 Cor 7:35
So many times we let things distract us from the will of God. Usually they come without notice or bells or whistles. Our Pastor taught on Fighting the Good Fight of Faith last night. It was really, really good. When you are fighting that fight, the enemy wants to distract you! We go to Covenant Faith World Outreach Church off I-85 in Jefferson, Ga. about 30 minutes North of Duluth. We get taught 2 times a week the life giving Words of God. We don't get yelled at or have to deal with some fat guy jumping around and pointing his finger or spitting when he talks... we are taught. Just like any college or university. We are so blessed to have a Pastor that has stayed his course. It's really just unexplainable what its like to be taught by someone that has a Word from God everytime he teaches! He and his wife have totally dedicated themselves to God's will and to feeding his children! If you don't know what I'm talking about... you are really missing it. I don't have children yet... but I see what our children's directors do, what their vision is and especially our youth Pastor. Our Pastor's are truly men and women after God's own heart.
Old Time Religion
"And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled
together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word
of God with boldness."
-Acts 4:31
This is what church ought to be. Somehow or another, many churches have forgotten about the move of God and being filled with the Holy Spirit. To me it just isn't church until we have the manefestation of Him. Not so we can run and shout and speak in tongues... but that we may have a deeper filling of joy, be enlightened, and be closer to him and his Word as a corporate body by his spirit. Sometimes, when you're filled with the Holy Ghost, you just get quiet... sometimes you might run, at times you may prophesy or pray in tongues???... but you will always be blessed! When you are filled with his presence, you'll have no doubt in your mind that you are his child!
Natural vs. Spiritual
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.-1 Cor 2:14
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.- John 6:63
1 Thess 5:23 says that we are Spirit, Soul, and Body. 1 Cor 2:14 talks about the "natural man": this refers to the man or person of this world that relies upon man's wisdom and his senses. The things of God are not always logical, or even make head sense. The things of God are received by faith first into your spirit. God's Word's are spirit and must be received into your spirit before you can understand them. The Bible says that His Word is the only thing that can separate man's spirit, soul, and body. Just think of all of the blessings that God has laid upon you, and what if you had to understand them before you were given them?
Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom, and in all of your getting get understanding.
Edification
And He Himself gave some to be
apostles, some
prophets, some
evangelists, and some
pastors and teachers, for the
equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that
we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but,
speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--Christ-- from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by
what every joint supplies, according to the effective working
by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.- Eph 4:10-16
Your Word
"A man's stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; From the
produce of his lips he shall be filled. Death and life are in the power of the
tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit."
-Proverbs 18:20-21
I can't stand to hear people talking negativity all of the time. They make their own bed with their words. It really blows me away to hear doubt and unbelief coming from the mouths of Christians. They get a pain in their side and automatically they think they have cancer. They complain about the way they feel and about all the bad luck that has come their way. It's just their "luck". Luck doesn't know if chance did it, you did it, or God did it. Somehow, people write things off to bad luck when it's their fault for not taking the neccesary measures to prevent it. They shift responsibility to "luck". Luck is NOT real. I said LUCK IS NOT REALITY. I'm sick of contradiction in what people believe. It's hard to respect someone who "just doesn't know" what they believe. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
