I'm Back
It's been a little while since I have posted. I've tried to stay focused on what I have been teaching at church. There is a scripture that has been sticking to my bones for the past couple of days...Romans 10:14-16
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
- "And how shall they preach, except they be sent" : I already appreciated missionaries, but now I have a new kind of respect for them. I'm going on a 2 week mission trip and we have had to believe God for the money to get us where we arer going. The money that I have rec'd has meant more that just a dollar bill... it's actually encouraged me more than anything. I know that the hardest thing for most people to give up is a dollar.
- "How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!": This one has touched me.
How beautiful are the feet of them that preach:
* The Gospel of peace, not condemnation. The Gospel is not condemnation.
* That bring GLAD TIDINGS of GOOD THINGS.
