Love

1 corinthians 13:4-8
* Love endures long and is patient and kind;
* Love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.
* It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly.
* Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].
* It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.
* Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].
* Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]...
*******************************************************************
Think about it. Let it correct you. If you haven't been severly corrected lately, then you are probably acting like an ignoramous. You are probably making a fool of yourself. Correction is good - I thank God for it - because I know that when I am corrected that God is changing me. Sometimes, it comes through people that have no business correcting anybody - but do I throw the gold away because of the package that it came in? Would I turn down a million dollars from that person? So, is a million dollars worth more than correction from God? One might say they didn't receive correction because "it's not what they said, but how they said it".... what about this "I didn't take that million from Joe because of how he handed it to me"... how foolish.... take the million dollars... and take the correction because that is something that money can't buy is good ole honest correction! You wouldn't turn away a million dollars b/c of the way that it was handed to you or because of who handed it to you... so why should you turn away correction? Is money worth more to you than correction? Despise not the chastening of the Lord - for whom He loves He chastens - for when we are chastened and corrected we are being dealt with as children!
